The Clinic Facilities assistant will grow with our business; helping us continually transform our space and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Working directly with the Clinic Manager and Head of Operations you will be responsible for ensuring the clinic is a safe, well maintained, and clean environment for staff to deliver our service mission, high quality patient care.
No two days will be the same in this role and the clinic will support you to progress and develop your practical skills for the maintenance and practical management of our period building near Sloane Square. To be suitable for this role you will be a practical problem solver; self-motivated and supportive with the ability to work as a team player or on your own. We are renowned for our patient care ethos and as Clinic Facilities Assistant you will play an important part in supporting our patient care services, engaging and communicating with patients within the day-to-day aspects of your role.

Duties
- Assisting with the movement of patients (between departments)
- Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment
- Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials
- Ordering and distributing the delivery of medical gas cylinders; as per clinic procedures
- Delivering consumables, equipment, furniture, pharmaceutical and pathology items to stores
- Lead Fire Marshall
- Managing linen deliveries
- Managing the removal of waste and recycling
- Transporting samples and specimens around the hospital in a timely manner; as per clinic policies
- Supporting the Head of Operations and Clinic Manager with the co-ordination and management of practical maintenance tasks; ensuring practical activities are completed to a high standard and in line with compliance requirements
- Supporting the Medical Inventory Manager with safe stock management and movement; ordering and supporting procurement where needed
- Working with the H&S manager; Clinical Governance Manager to ensure clinic facilities and standards are maintained to a high level. Work proactively to identify and solve or report in clinic issues to minimise risk and ensure H&S and Fire Safety standards are maintained and adhered to
- Provide support to departments; using practical skills to support the team and facility, helping us to provide high quality patient-centric care
- Supporting the management team to ensure every space at Cadogan Clinic is well maintained and managed according to requirements for a busy, dynamic, clinic setting
- Overseeing the cleanliness of the staff room; ensuring it is well-looked after and maintained to a high standard; addressing short term and longer-term issues regarding space management
- Updating the Purchase Order log with deliveries
Experience
- A team player with the ability to deliver your roles and responsibilities using initiative
- Able to attend to basic practical and maintenance tasks and work towards training and up-skilling (as required to provide practical, maintenance services for the clinic)
- Well organised, punctual and reliable; taking ownership of your responsibilities as required within your role
- Able to work with others; co-ordinating trades people and deliveries; working with managers, staff, and our consultants to maintain a positive, friendly, safe and organised work environment
- Able to work in a highly active role that requires manual lifting, working at height and the moving and carrying of equipment, machinery as per H&S requirements
- Able to work under pressure always using sensitivity and discretion
- Able to deliver a high standard of services, liaising proactively with all relevant stakeholders
- Able to work quickly and calmly in emergencies
- Able to meet training objectives regarding mandatory training; H&S and skills-based training as required
- A proactive communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to listen and empathise
- Flexible and adaptable; willing to embrace new ideas and processes
- Able to follow instructions and work to operational time constraints
- Able to meet the mandatory, compliance and standard governance requirements associated with your role.
